A highly customisable web application that is optimised for mobile use and can be embedded within any commercial website or corporate intranet.

Demonstration Versions

There are four demonstration versions available to show different configurations of the calculator. These are just examples, and there are a wide range of customisation options available in the online control panel that enable you to configure the calculator to suit your requirements.

  A fast & responsive user interface that guides the user through their carbon calculation with context-sensitive help.
• Mobile Friendly
  Adapts to different screen sizes and optionally allows users to switch between the embedded calculator and a full screen version that can be branded with your logo.
• Multilingual
  Currently supports nine languages and many more can be added on request. The calculator uses automatic machine translations as a start point but these can be improved by human translators. Using the control panel, you can customise any of the text on your calculator, except for the "About" tab.
• Reliable Calculations
  The calculations are based on emissions factors published by the UK government, which are updated annually. The "About" tab of the calculator references the data sources and explains the calculation assumptions that you have configured.
• Action Button
  Once the user has calculated their carbon emissions, you can encourage them to take action by submitting their total emissions to your database, or by redirecting them to your chosen provider to purchase a carbon offset. The action button is optional and you can remove it if you wish.
• Respects User Privacy
  The calculator does not require user registration or collect any personal data from users. It does not use any cookies or tracking links. All data used to calculate emissions are retained in the user's browser and are not transmitted over the internet.
• Fully Hosted Solution
  The calculator is hosted by RADsite and can be seamlessly embedded within any web page by adding a single line of HTML. There are detailed instructions for embedding the Custom Carbon Calculator so you can check that it will integrate with your website.
• Highly Configurable
  An online control panel allows you to customise many aspects of the layout, text, appearance and functionality of your calculator. There are screenshots of the control panel showing the different configuration options. You can try out different options in your test instance and when you are happy with the configuration you can publish it to your production instance.
• Usage Statistics
  The control panel lets you see how many people are using your calculator and how many of them press the action button once they have calculated their emissions. Please see the sample screenshots of the usage statistics for more details.
• Extensible
  The calculator has a modular design and can be extended and adapted to suit your requirements. We can configure additional wording or styling changes for you that are not possible using the control panel. We can also create custom tabs that use your own proprietary data sources and calculation methods and work with you to link the calculator into your existing systems.

Pricing

Prices start at £50 + VAT per month with no setup fee. This includes full access to the online control panel which allows you to configure and publish your calculator and view the usage statistics.

The starting price allows for up to 5000 visits per month and assumes a twelve month commitment for a UK based customer. Any additional customisations that are not possible using the control panel are charged separately as a one-off cost.

Monthly pricing and higher visitor limit options are available, and other taxes may apply to overseas customers, so please contact us with details of your requirements for a quotation.
